Bob McNaull
Senior Engineering Manager | mcnaull@iastate.edu
Since joining the Digital Ag team in 2010, Bob has worked on a variety of projects developing automation solutions for our industry partners, including continuous yield calibration and control algorithms for boom height control systems now available on the market. Bob is named as an inventor for several of the patents held by Digital Ag team members, and says it’s the ability to directly impact production agriculture with his projects that keeps him excited about working with Digital Ag.
“I enjoy the ability to maintain an engagement with farming and equipment operation on a regular basis through the work we do with machinery automation,” Bob said. “Many of our programs start in a virtual or lab environment, but engage early and often with real machinery in a production environment as those experiences and lessons learned can't be replaced.”
